- Have just noticed an anonymous IP from Virginia added unsourced information to article Michael Q. Schmidt. Per WP:BLP I removed the information and made a note on the article talkpage and on a talkpage for the IP. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 07:30, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
An important lesson from Wikipedia... and I quote:
- Self-published or questionable sources as sources on themselves
Self-published and questionable sources may be used as sources of information about themselves, usually in articles about themselves or their activities, without the requirement in the case of self-published sources that they be published experts in the field, so long as:
- the material is not unduly self-serving;
- it does not involve claims about third parties;
- it does not involve claims about events not directly related to the source;
- there is no reasonable doubt as to its authenticity;
- the article is not based primarily on such sources.
Me, in the real world edit
Beyond having modeled for thousands of art classes, and being the ONE American used as the CGI model for the Mountain Troll in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (remember that big ugly fellow with the club?), I have had the honor to have also so far worked in 300+ Movie and TV projects, 45 Music videos, dozens of live performances, and a dozen live interviews. After its early contention, I am honored that there is an article about me on Wikipedia, but well realize that the article belongs to The Project and not to me or to anyone I know. I further well realize that consensus is mutable and notability is never permanent. Thank you having me aboard.
