The attack of tidore was the invasion against the Portuguese stronghold in the island of Tidore by the Dutch East India Company and the Sultanate of Ternate in 1605. The attack was successful and the Portuguese were expelled from the Moluccas. It was the first joint military campaign led by the Dutch in the Moluccan Sea.
