My name is Matthew, and I live in the city of Orem, Utah, in the United States.
I am an avid linguist and love any discusssion regarding languages, their origins, and usage. I am fluent and do occasional translation in Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, and can bluff my way through five or six others in a pinch. Italian, however, is my greatest love, and my wife and children are continually afflicted with impromptu language lessons. They make great attempts at patience when I stop and talk to perfect strangers just because I hear them speaking Italian.
I also think that while Wikipedia is one of the world's greatest intellectual playgrounds and classrooms, ounce for ounce it's just hard to beat the Star Wars Wookieepedia for just plain old fun and good times.
