The Family Justice Center is a Non Governmental Organization that is funded by New York State. The aim is to stop gender based violence and domestic violence. Social services are provided for survivors and their children as well as legal and criminal justice support. Offers include counseling regarding direct violence, stalking, but also coaching for business and health. There are courses for helping to build up safe relationships. Survivors of intimate partner violence, sex trafficking or abuse can get help in one space for all the different topics as protection, entrepreneurship, education, childcare, housing etc. New York City communities are strengthened, child and youth prevention and intervention are expanded, criminal justice responses are enhanced. With all these methods it is a reframing of New York City‘s approach for solving Domestic Violence. The citiwide coordination is improved to maximize results.
