I am a health sciences librarian passionate about empowering health consumers, nurse scholars, and librarians to understand and conduct research to improve health and advocate for their health needs and professional interests. I have experience with professional advocacy and its intersection with marketing and health information education, as well as research methods education, and open to research and publication opportunities. I edit Wikipedia infrequently, but like having the ability to correct errors or add citations as needed.

Conflict of Interest Statement: edit

As a health sciences librarian I bring with me all the biases that come with such as profession, which in this case I hope align with the inherent biases of a project like Wikipedia. I am an employee of the University of Florida, but do not represent UF's interests and opinions beyond that of the general advancement of the sciences and the broader dissemination of knowledge. If my editing conflicts with any of Wikipedia's guidelines, please reach out to me, either on my user talk page of by tagging me in the talk page of the article of interest, and I'll alter my editing behavior accordingly.

Project History: edit

2020/10-11: Taking the Wikipedia + Libraries asynchronous Moodle course offered by the Network of the National Library of Medicine[1], with the intention of learning more about editing medical pages on Wikipedia, specifically adding citations to improve verifiability.
