Since there was no information on this page and there are no guidelines as to what should be posted here to serve as an introduction as an editor to other editors, I'm confused as to how to proceed.
I'm in the interactive advertising business (I will not mention the name of the company so it won't come across as blatant advertising) and often come across new terms related to web2.0 and social network trends from online research and face to face discussions with developers, entrepreneurs and designers.
I posted the term Synthestaff with a definition as it was brought up in a seminar at SXSW by someone when discussing the lack of company staffing in their online worlds. I've read the term and heard it several times since but have not found a definition for it online. As I was around when I heard it's early use and am a bit of an expert on the subject I thought it would be a good idea to post the definition.
If WIkipedia is not interested in being a dynamic dictionary that can help the general public wrap their heads around new marketing, programming or technology terms then it should be clearly stated on the site.
- The reason the page was deleted is because the user pages are generally not for "outside" things, they should be (mostly) focused upon your activities here on Wikipedia. Someone believed you were using your page as promotion or as a personal website, tagged it for proposed deletion, and it wasn't contested, therefore it was deleted. If you want it restored, you can ask at deletion review and contest the prod (yes, you can still do that), but if it doesn't conform to the guidelines as WP:USER, it risks deletion again. --UsaSatsui 21:49, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
