Amalea Lutsenko was born on May 28th, 1990 to Janice and Peter Lutsenko in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She attended Grande Prairie Composite High-school and went on to attend Grande Prairie Regional College. Later, she attended the University of Lethbridge (ULeth) for her bachelor's degree, and the University of Western Ontario (UWO) for her master's degree. Lutsenko graduated with a Master of Music in 2015 and performed her most notable role in Die Zauberflote as the Queen of the Night in Italy in the summer of 2015.

Early Life edit
Amalea Ekaterina Lutsenko was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada on May 28th, 1990 to her two parents and older sister. A year later, she became the middle child with the arrival of a younger brother. Lutsenko attended elementary school at Crystal Park School, and transferred to Grande Prairie Composite High School for her high school years.

Lutsenko married Mark Dueck on June 30th, 2012 at her home church in Grande Prairie.

Bachelor's Degree edit
In 2008, Lutsenko attended Grande Prairie Regional College for two years and then transferred to the University of Lethbridge to complete her Bachelor of Music. Due to the fact that she was unable to fully transfer her credits from GPRC to ULeth, she had to complete her degree over a period of five years. While in Lethbridge, Lutsenko studied vocal performance under Janet Youngdahl. She returned to Grande Prairie every summer to work at Safeway (Canada) and for the City of Grande Prairie. Lutsenko graduated with honours from the University of Lethbridge in the spring of 2013.
Master's Degree edit
Amalea Lutsenko was given an opportunity to apply to the MMus program at UWO (in London, Ontario) during her last year in Lethbridge. After her audition, she received a full scholarship to attend in the fall of 2013. In London, Lutsenko studied opera and vocal performance under Todd Wieczorek. She graduated from UWO in the spring of 2015.
Work edit
Between the years of her undergrad, Lutsenko worked in the deli of her local Safeway. During the summers of her master's degree, she worked for the City of Grande Prairie as a part of a three person summer maintenance crew. After graduating, Lutsenko chose to stay in London, where she worked temporarily as a life insurance salesman for American Income Life Insurance Company (AIL). When things didn't work out with AIL, Lutsenko began her role as the sales and marketing director for Drexel Industries as well as expanding her in-home studio as a music teacher. She continues to expand and grow her studio where she teaches piano, voice, and violin.
