Sean Carey(rugby player) Sean Carey (born Tralee, Ireland, 1 November 1987) is an Irish player for Rodez in the Federal D2 League. Carey was educated at Garbally College in Ballinasloe Co.Galway and has previously played with Buccaneers RFC and Connacht Rugby where he had progressed through their academy to a development contract.

Carey holds the significant record of playing on both Junior and Senior Cup teams for 3 consecutive years. He played for Connacht Schools from the age of 16 and played at international level for the U-19 obtaining a total of 7 caps and playing in the 2007 u-19 Rugby World Cup in Dubai.

After schools rugby, Carey rugby career began to take off while playing in the AIB League for Buccaneers RFC and progreesed throught the Connacht Academy. In 2010 Carey switched AIL Clubs and joined Bernard Jackmans Clontarf. In 2011 Carey left Irish rugby and moved to Stade Rodez in the Averyon district of France
