edit

After touring extensively as a guitarist in the indie band Le Loup,[1] May Tabol formed the band Pree in Washington, DC in 2008.[2] The band's first EP, A Chopping Block, was released on The Kora Records in 2009.[3] The album featured Tabol on guitar, keyboards and vocals and was recorded by John Thayer (of Exit Clov), who also provided drums and percussion. Other featured players included Tom Hnatow (of These United States), Susan Hsu (of Exit Clov), and Vanessa Degrassi. Chris DeWitt joined the live band shortly thereafter, followed by Degrassi and David Barker.[4]
