I currently live in Washington DC, having moved here permanently in September 2006 to finish my bachelor's degree at George Washington University. However, I consider home to be the great and friendly city of Portland, OR. That being, said, I was born in the U.S. state of Idaho (Nampa, Caldwell), and have spent formative years of my childhood and young adult life living in such far-flung places as Gardiner, ME; Randolph, NJ; Stockholm, Sweden and Saint Petersburg, Russia.
My bachelor's degree is in International Affairs and Russian language and literature. I am very enthusiastic about geopolitics in particular.
So far, most of my contributions have been photographs from places I have traveled to. I strongly believe in the importance of having useful and appropriate images to enhance the quality and value of Wikipedia.
Topics that interest me are linguistics and languages, language acquisition, architecture, design, history, graphic arts, travel, geography and just about anything having to do with Russia.
