Those who have watched my account may note that I do not normally participate much. I have been upset and disappointed by people with an anti nuclear agenda hijacking articles and have endeavoured to provide well sourced, well reasoned and mature input to maintain the quality of Wikipedia, despite how much I would just like to be emotional!!

I would like to state that environmentalists such as Stewart Brand and George Monbiot are an inspiration to me. I love technology and science and abhor fanatical destructive behaviour driven by fear and ignorance. I believe such behaviour could have serious detrimental consequences and it is my duty to try to help.

I'm pro Hydro power (but I think it's reached saturation on implementation) and I'm also for research into making renewable like wind and solar economically viable (my reading tends to say categorically that they aren't at the moment and must be propped up by much higher energy prices to the consumer and huge government subsidies).

I also believe the developing world deserves the energy that we take for granted and that it is ethically repugnant to deny them that which we ourselves take and take for granted at that.
