Anders Levinsen is a peace activist and specialist in conflict resolution. He is the founder of Open Fun Football Schools.

He used to be a football player and football coach in Denmark. During the war in Bosnia he headed the UN emergency operation in central and north-eastern Bosnia. His war experience led him to develop a program that uses sports and games as reconciliation and conflict resolution tools.

  • 1992-93: Leader of the UNHCR relief operation in the Central and Northeastern Bosnia Herzegovina
  • 1994: Amanuensis, Institute of Geography, University of Copenhagen
  • 1995-96: Leasure time and Cultural coordinator at The Danish Refugee Council, the capital region
  • 1997-98: Held the position as advisor at Amphion-ENCORE, a private consultancy specialised in conflict resolution and conflict handling
  • 1998: Promoter of and for a short period of time chairman of the Danish Sport Aid.
  • 1998: Promoter of and project manager of the "Open Fun Football Schools in Bosnia"
  • 1998: Recipient of the Michael Laudrup Price (DKK 25.000)
  • 1999: Promoter of and manager of CCPA (Cross Cultures Project Association)
  • 1999: On behalf of Open Fun Football Schools recipient of Fredsfondens Fredspris 1999 (The Price of Peace, The Peace Foundation), DKK 100.000.
  • 2000: Promoter of and project manager of "Open Fun Football Schools in Macedonia"
