Young De

Demerick Ferm (03/07/1981), better known by his stage name Young De, is a rapper from Los Angeles, California. The rapper is known for his collaborations with some high profile artists in the history of westcoast hiphop, such as Xzibit, Kurupt (DPG), Snoop Dogg, Too Short and B-Real (Cypress Hill). He is also frequently featured on B-Reals 2009 album, "Smoke N Mirrors," performing on 4 of the 15 songs.

B-Real returned the favour by contributing, as a producer for the Audio Hustlaz, to Young De’s “Audio Hustlaz vol. 1 mixtape,” hosted by DJ Skee and fellow rapper Kurupt. Young De has a strong relationship with the “Audio Hustlaz” production company and particularly with his mentor B-Real. Besides the “Audio Hustlaz” mixtape, Young De also released the “Homeland Security mixtape.” This tape was put together by the legendary mixtape DJ Whoo Kid and hosted by rapper Cashis.

Young De also has a couple of international tours under his belt, performing alongside Ice Cube, DPG, Too Short, DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill), E-40 and Xzibit on the 2009 Westcoast Tour in March 2009. In April he toured alongside rapper Xzibit on the first part of the "Euro vs. Dollar Tour." In August/September, he joined B-Real for the promotional tour of his "Smoke N Mirrors” album release, only to return to Europe in December 2009 for the second part of the “Euro vs. Dollar Tour,” headlining Xzibit.

Late 2009, Young De linked up with fellow Angelenos Xzibit and B-Real to form the hiphop group called ‘Serial Killaz.’ The first single, called Body Bags, was released by the end of 2009 and was produced by Fing Kong! & Money Mike. The first album by this hiphop trio is to be released in 2010.
