Marc Abel was born during the Nixon administration. He resided near Boston until 1980, in Central Ohio until 1987, in Pasadena, California until 1993, Central Ohio again until 2004, eastern New Mexico until 2007, and now lives in Dayton, Ohio. He has worked in several engineering and information technology disciplines, is a classically trained singer, and has taught an estimated 5,000 students as a substitute teacher in 59 schools.
When not busy with family and housework, Mr. Abel writes and edits on various topics, conducts projects related to the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, writes code and documentation for open source software, teaches ballroom dancing professionally, and is generally involved in church and community activities.
