Napirajz (literally Daily Cartoon) is a Hungarian webcomic created by Merényi "Grafitember" Dániel.

Overview edit

Development edit

Grafitember began drawing cartoons while he was bored during meetings, which he emailed to friends and eventually compiled into a blog.[1]

[2]

Grafitember's cartoons are also published on the Hungarian news website 444.hu [hu].[3]

Reception edit

Former president of the Hungarian Comics Association Bayer Antal stated in 2010 that Napirajz was "the [second] most successful Hungarian comic strip for the moment."[1] However, in a 2013 interview with Prae.hu, he said that Napirajz "[did] not seem to be able to break out of the cult status."[4] Grafitember's webcomic got 11-13 thousand pageviews per day before it were syndicated by Index.hu, and the viewership has likely increased strongly since.[2]
