It's Not Too Late edit

Although Refuge Filming has had several theatre productions and activities in the past such as A Christmas Carol by: Charles Dickens. They are currently getting involved in their first major short film production that will be watched all over the United States.
This Film will be between ten and fifteen minutes long and set in the 1930’s it follows two young people as they are tossed head over heals into the effects of the great depression. Will and his younger sister Rachel grew up in a farm in Texas where they grew wheat to send over to Europe during the First World War because Europe could not produce it for themselves. Then when Europe finished recovering from the war and could start producing their own food the price of their wheat dropped significantly leaving them unable to pay their bills. So, Will and Rachel’s father goes off to try to find a job before they lose their farm and their home, the letters from their father get fewer and fewer until none came at all. Shortly thereafter their mother gets sick and dies of the dust pneumonia which is a terrible illness known to make people cough up mud. Will blames his father for his mother’s death and after finding a sign promising work with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in North Carolina building the Blue Ridge Parkway. Will sets out with Rachel to build them a better life.
This film's target audience is young people, and even though this time period was a long time ago it does have a great deal to do with what young people might be going through today. The film addresses issues like; a parents loss of a job, making mortgage payments and even the loss of a family member. This film is set to release to the public in the late spring of 2013.
