Will Wood and the Tapeworms is a five-person indie band led by singer, songwriter, musician, and artist Will Wood. Other members, known as "The Tapeworms," also consist of Matt Berger, Vater Boris, Mike Bottiglieri, and Mario Conte. [1]
Will Wood The Tapeworms's genre of their music is considered to be a blend of various things, ranging from jazz to rock. Despite covering a variety of themes such as alcoholism, many of their performances are coupled as comedy acts. [2] These themes go past just performances, though. After his own struggle with Bipolar II, Will Wood has begun using his music as a method to raise support and awareness for those struggling with mental disorders. [3]
Their first album, EVERYTHING IS A LOT, was released in 2015. It was followed by 2016's SELF-ISH. One album, The Real, was recorded during a live show and is used as a soundtrack for their acclaimed film, "The Real Will Wood." [4] In addition, Will Wood and the Tapeworms recently finished of crowdfunding their next album, The Normal Album. Within its first day of funding it reached approximately twenty-eight thousand dollars in support.[3]
