This article, while 10 years old, does demonstrate the modern basis of the word "beard." It also introduces a more modern concept that is currently absent from the current wikipedia page, namely, the idea that queer individuals in "beard" marriages are facing an internal conflict as gay relationships are becoming mainstream in this time frame. It is notable due to it being a secondary, major news source. It provides a more topical example than

Galloway, Stephen. "Rock Hudson's Wife Secretly Recorded His Gay Confession." The Hollywood Reporter. The Hollywood Reporter, 6 June 2013. Web. 08 Apr. 2016. <http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/rock-hudsons-wife-secretly-recorded-562508>.

This article cites a recording that it claims to demonstrate that Rock Hudson was in a sham marriage to conceal his homosexuality. It is a relatively recent development (2013). This is a claim the wikipedia article already makes, but there is currently no citation for it. It is also a more recent source than anything else on the page, which establishes the contemporary context of this phrase as well as strengthening the existing article. This article is also a secondary source with a direct link to a primary source, so it seems to be quite reliable and up to Wikipedia's standards.

Miller W. WASH THAT MAN RIGHT OUT OF YOUR BEARD!. Hotspots Magazine [serial online]. December 30, 2015;3052:172. Available from: LGBT Life with Full Text, Ipswich, MA. Accessed April 8, 2016.

This is a write-in letter to a magazine serial. It is very dramatic and not very academic, but it does serve to demonstrate the continued usage of this term. As of now, the wiki page does little to demonstrate that this term is in modern use, and an article from last year does a much better job of showing that this word does in fact exist. It also allows some discussion about the harmful effects of these relationships on the non-queer party, although I wouldn't be comfortable making that a discussion point on the page without further citations.
