CorpseFucking Art (C.F.A.) are a brutal death metal/ deathgrind band, from Italy formed in 1993. Their lyrics focuses mainly on gore and humor.

Biography edit

The band was formed in 1993 in the city of Rome, Italy. Forming this band was Max "Tony Ananas" Varani [Vocals], Andrea Cipolla [Guitars], Fabio Bava [bass], Marco [Drums], under a different name Enthralment and recorded their first demo called Eulogy Of Burning Christ. The sound was a slow and brutal death metal-influenced piece with similarities to such bands as Immolation and Incantation.

Cryptic Soul Productions signed Enthralment, releasing the 7" Accursed In Divinity. However, the sound contained new tracks that were defiantly more brutal oriented. As the musical direction was no longer the same as the beginning, it was useless to keep the old name. The one chosen for this new form of direction was Corpsegod. With a different name but same line-up, they recorded, in 1995, the EP Opinion About Sorrow released by Torture Records. The EP contained 5 tracks mind boggling and fast brutal death-metal. Ultra-brutal riffing with techno and industrial parts, snippets of splatter movies increased the listening audience for the band.

Though, the passion for the ultra-brutal death metal in the band was getting higher, the old line-up went to create a new band totally devoted to this kind of music. So this created another changing of name for the band. The band’s name was now Corpsefucking Art and consisted of only Andrea and Max from the original line-up. This created a search for a brand new line up which was found after a recording 2 track promo with some of the interested and friends of Andrea. The new line up consisted of Massimo [Guitar], Marcello [Drums] and Edo [Bass] which were experienced in the field of death metal. The track Molesting the Corpse was for the underground splatter movie Sick-o-Pathic soundtrack which the band recorded for. This made C.F.A more active within the live tours and played as support for Cannibal Corpse and Immolation for a show in Rome. C.F.A also recorded their debut CD named A Puzzle Of Flesh for the Italian label Sterminio Productions. The nine tracks blasted out ultra-brutal death metal with devastating Drums and crushing Guitars. This almost inhuman content in music and playing the band was noticed throughout Europe and the underground scene.

In 2001, the line-up changed again for reasons that the members were fed up of the un-achievement and direction of the band. So this left, Andrea, as the only member from the first line up and again he had to search for new members. He found the right people for the job in no time as Marco De Ritis (Bass) and Stuart Franzoni (Drums). With this new line-up the band created new material and released a split CD with Goretrade which was entitled Zombiecronomicon distributed by Coagulated Records. In April 2002, the record company went bust and United Guttural Records took the license of Coagulated records and reshaped the split CD with Goretrade having released it with completely new artwork.

This, however, sparked up an offer by Forever Underground and a contracted between band and label, which encountered the band to enter the studio, once again, to record. The new full length Splatter Deluxe was recorded with a new second guitarist Marco Riccardi. But the recording took shorter than the release of the new CD, so the long wait for the new release was covered by the band touring a lot including a festival in Frankfurt with Lividity, Gorerotted, Inhumate, Pigstry, Nunwhore Commando 666, Mastic Scum, and Master and Damnable , the rest of Europe in places like Sweden, France and Italy and other festivals in and around Europe. The band is currently, in 2008, recording a new studio album and is expected to come out early 2009.
