I’m working on a voluntary basis for Knole, the National Trust property in Sevenoaks, Kent. I have discussed the current Knole entry on Wikipedia with the staff there, and we all agree that it is not as complete as it could be.
We would like to see more information added to the page, and would welcome edits, contributions and suggestions in order to improve the offering. We are very aware of the necessary neutrality of Wiki articles, so are keen to work with the community in order to develop the page.
I would be happy to work with anyone interested in making additions to the piece. A number of external scholars and consultants have done academic, archaeological, historical and archival research at Knole, and their findings could potentially be accessed for independent verification. There is also information available on the Sackville family and history of the house. I will be adding extra information about certain elements of the house and contents (specifically arts and architecture – directly relating to my academic background).
On a personal note, I am a newcomer to Wiki, so please bear with me as I learn how the system works.
