I'm an Archivist by trade, working for the University of Huddersfield Archives at Heritage Quay, and may make occasional updates to the history of my employing organisation from time to time. I endeavour to refer any statements made back to the university archives so they are reliably referenced, and are made in order to try and encourage expansion of the article, and addition of additional information and other views by other interested parties!
I am engaged in practical research in the effectiveness of promoting archival collections via adding citations to Wikipedia articles, in line with the guidance laid out on the Wikipedia for Cultural Professionals pages WP:TWL/Archivists. This involves highlighting links to notable collections in the University Archives holdings in order to widen the range of available reading and resources available to potential researchers, and students and academics using our services.
I took part in Wikipedia Editathons at the University of Huddersfield on 30th March 2017, 6th June 2017. 3rd February 2018 and 26th April 2018.
I also took part in an Archives and Records Association Wikipedia training session at the University of Newcastle on the 9th April 2019.
