implu Corporation was incorporated in the state of New Hampshire in April, 2008. The company launched implu in May, 2008. implu is a vertical search engine focusing on U.S. public companies, their executives, directors and major investors and the relationships between them. Additional areas of focus include nonprofit and lobbyist data. The site currently has over 1 million publicly accessible pages.

The name implu comes from the Latin implicare or 'to involve'.

How it Works edit

implu uses technology to parse public sources of data, perform entity extraction and presents the resulting information in meaningful capsules. The capsules are available via a site search, taxonomy traversal or a more advanced custom search page.
