Chris Hastings (1066 Productions) An award-winning writer, producer and story editor Chris Hastings is CEO of 1066 Productions Ltd. He now specialises in international co-productions, with a focus on development, bringing together producers worldwide to exploit international revenue streams. Recent projects include Eddie (with Thure Lindhardt and Steven McHattie) and The Maiden Danced to Death (with Deborah Kara Unger, Stephen McHattie, Gil Bellows and respected Oscar-winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond).

Chris worked as lead writer with Channel 4/Introversion on interactive drama Chronometer and is currently working on TV drama Forging the Iron Lady. With a focus on biographical films, Chris has a slate which includes The Busby Babes, Krays! and Twentieth Century Boy.

Chris originally began his career as a writer in radio broadcasting, beginning as a researcher for London Fox Publishing, working his way up to Head of Research and eventually General Manager by the age of 20. After a successful spell here, Chris moved on to pursue more creative opportunities, becoming the youngest Artistic Director in London theatre (at the time) and producing a number of successful shows.

After previewing one of his own plays, Killing Children, in New York, Chris was finding his skills increasingly in demand and began working in tandem with a number of production partners in the film industry. Respected for his expertise in development and packaging, Chris often lectures on European co-productions.
