In his campaign of vilification, ThaddeusSholto carefully cherry-picked from my entire edit history some 8 or so instances where I felt it appropriate to cite my own (co-)publications and presented this as deliberate self-promotion. What he carefully ignored is the fact that, over the same time-span, most of the citations/links that I have added are to the works of others – some 45 different references to relevant sources with which I have absolutely no connection (diffs are posted below). All of these were completely new additions to the WP entries. To this one should add the further 39 citations/links that I provided for Danny Malboeuf, a page that he sought incorrectly to disparage on other grounds. These tallies also show that I have not engaged in the form of WP:CITESPAM where “academics and scientists us[e] their editing privileges primarily to add citations to their own work,” since I have overwhelmingly cited the works of others.
