Critical Role (sometimes abbreviated as CR) is an American web series in which a group of professional voice actors play Dungeons & Dragons.
Each campaign is in the same shared world of Exandria and follows a different set of characters. However, Campaign 3 saw the return of four player characters that had appeared in previous canonic storylines. Travis Willingham reprised Sir Bertrand Bell for the first three episodes. Bell was Willingham's character in the Campaign 1 prologue episodes; The Search for Grog and The Search for Bob. Ashley Johnson and Liam O'Brien reprise their characters from the Exandria Unlimited (ExU) anthology campaign—Fearne Calloway and Orym of the Air Ashari (respectively). The first fourteen episodes also saw ExU cast member Robbie Daymond guest starring as Dorian Storm.
The main cast for the core campaigns remains unchanged since the show started—with the exception of Orion Acaba, who left after 27 episodes.
