History of Sagam Village:

edit

Long ago in this village, many Statues of Gods were found, which may be of during the times of Unknown Era, So this Shivling was also found at the time of Dugging. Before this Shivling one Shaligram Stone(This stone is smooth and zed black stone According to Sanatan Dharma This stone is considered as lord Vishnu) was Found which was taken by man who was said to be intelligent and wise and was aware of Mythological Concepts so he called it as told everyone about this Shali-gram and by this name the name of this village was called Sagam.

About this Mandir this is one of the best ever Temple dedicated to Mata Chandika in Village Sagam. This Temple is located on the small hill which is not that much small, This hill is located on small River if we go to Sinthan from Anantnag City when we cross the Sagam Market after Bridge The road goes to Right after 500 meters distance you will see this hill on the top of that small hill there is Chandi mandir, Some people and according to our ancestors it was believed that Chandika Mata Statue is very old before Mughal Era, Before Exodus of Kashmiri Pandits Hawan was organised in this Holy place but After Migration it turned out into Ruin, I request Government to take necessary action in the development of this temple.

Nagbal Dharamshala (Sagam Anantnag):

This is one of the oldest Dharamshala which is now ruined. This Dharamshala is how much old no idea can be calculated, But yes before Exodus of Kashmiri Pandits whenever people used to come here to worship and used to spend their time in devotion, But hopefully this Dharamshala would be renovated soon. Approximately this Dharamshala could be more than 70 years old. Now in near upcoming years we will renovate this Dharamshala.

Mata Raageem (Sagam Anantnag):

This is the pool which is located in Nagbal this is small pool apart from 3 Sweet water pools which is located 500 meter south direction of the Nagbal if anyone says in Kashmiri "Oh Sita the Ram has came", suddenly the Bubbles appear from the pond.

Shiv Mandir Sagam ( Nagbal )

edit

This is one of the old Shiv Shankar more than 100 years which is still in Sagam,

Although this Temple was turned into ruin because of climatic conditions after Exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, However no news was heard about any militant attacked on this Temple because one Bear used to come and sit in this temple and was deployed himself as a security guard of this temple so no one dares to enter within the premises of this Temple, Probably that may be Lord Shiva came as a Bear to Guard this Temple.

now Temple has been constructed here.

Karamyogini Brahmswaroopini Radha Devi was The Great saint of Village Sagam,Old Residents of Sagam Village knew about her, But if we talk about new Generation, very less people in new Generation knew about her At the age of 5 or may be 6 she got married, but who is mightiest than God within a short span of time she got Widow.

After this incident she left home and stay in Dharamshala of village Sagam,at that time this Dharamshala was made of clay bricks Approximately she was not seen by humans far 12 years approximately as per Old People says,The dress she was wearing orange-red colored long Kurta payjama and orange-red colored stroll.

Whoever visits Nagbal used to bring some fruits for her,She spend whole life in Devotion of God, she was Great saint. She starts Worship and Devotion early in the morning on or before 4:00 am After some-time she started to spent her time in Nagbal in this Nagbal-Dharamshala Everyone respects her in the village and she was invited by all but some old folks says That she was never having food whenever she was invited by someone If she requires anything in invitation that was kahawa with full of Dry Fruits and spices.

At the time of getting immortality when people opened her house which she left long ago back, people found the containers of Tin full of Ghee and household goods.

Radha devi acquired Divine Knowledge by meditation, worship, and sacrifice her self in the name of God. She is not known by everyone, but her worship is still remembered by old folks. Such persons sacrifice everything by the name of God.
