In fact, I don't like travelling. There're always too many people in the tourist spots. And the most importantly, I usually learn only a just about the local culture. You cannot learn it without living there for some days and chatting with the local people. I think most big cities are alike from my experience and it is dull.

Shanghai

I lived in Shanghai when I was young. Different from other places in China, there are not many histroical attractions in Shanghai,(I mean, the history before Qing Dynasty. I think it is boirng to study the history of emperors) and it is relaxing to visit the modern attractions. You can see this page for scenic spots in Shanghai.

Beijing

After I go to university, I've lived in Beijing for about two years. Due to the lockdown policies for the pandemic, I rarely leave the campus to go exploring in Beijing. So I only visited a few places in Beijing.

I went to Sanya twice and unfortunately, it is not pleasant on both journeys. In the summer of 2015, I got seasick on the ship to Haikou, and in the winter of 2022, I got in trouble at the airport. However, Sanya enjoys a comfortable climate and it is nice to live there in winter.
