17:12, 7 January 2017 (UTC)L. Tringo Rudolph (talk) I have BS degrees in both biology and biochemistry from Georgian Court College (GCC is now a University, GCU) in Lakewood, NJ. I followed that with another two years (well, almost) of graduate education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) at their Newark, NJ campus where I was working towards my PhD in neuroscience. Stress and money were the two major players in my world at the time. I had too much of one, not enough of the other. Anyway, my particular area of concentration was in the study of addiction, specifically to opiates, though many other addictive drugs (cocaine, amphetamine, etc.) tend to overlap in their affects on the brain and nervous system.

Besides that, I guess reading Black Beauty paid off, as I've since edited and/or proofed journal articles (and other writings) by a number of others before their papers' submission for publication. That was for college professors and previous employers (usually PhDs) after college, many of whom commented that I was a "very good writer." Thanx guys!

I'm retired now, but still keep up to date on current science and tech and their advances as well as their impact on our world. I've always been an avid lover of wildlife, Since as far back as I can remember, it's amazed me. Everything from the magnificent blue whale to the microscopic tardigrade are equally awe inspiring to me. Learning new things in virtually any area is not a hobby, but a necessity for me. I skipped plant biology in college as i thought it would be boring compared to animal bio. I've since learned otherwise and now believe that plants just might be the true rulers of the planet and use us as their slaves so to speak. Think about that for a while. (But that's another story, one which I'd gladly share with any interested party).

Also, if anybody's in need, I'm willing to help with research, proofreading and editing (or whatever), particularly in the sciences.

Sincerely, L T R

PS. If it matters to anybody, My horoscope sign is Sagittarius (yeah, I know...that means I just had another birthday [as well as giving a clue to my cleverly unstated age by even knowing what sign I am.] It seems like those damned things (birthdays) come around almost every damn year! Is that possible? Nah! Forget I even asked.)
