The 2011–12 season will be Melbourne Heart's second season in the A-League, and its second season as a club. The club will also compete in the first ever edition of the Mirabella Cup, entering the competition in the quarter-finals, along with fellow A-League side Melbourne Victory. The season will see the addition of a youth team to the club, which will compete in the 2011–12 A-League National Youth League season.
