I am Rob (Robert) Lightbody, based in Glasgow, Scotland.
I am most widely known for being an enthusiast and authority about the famous ship QE2 (Queen Elizabeth 2.
I had a website on the internet in 1994 called RobsRag which mainly included extensive information about the great ocean liners. This evolved into www.roblightbody.com in the late 90s, where it remains. The QE2 section of this website, became widely known and referred to during the last decade of the ship's service life, and still is popular.
In February 2008, I decided to establish a reference site dedicated entirely to the QE2. For this reason I registered the domain names www.TheQE2Story.com.
In January 2009, as speculation reached fever pitch about the QE2s situation, I added a discussion forum to the site - www.TheQE2Story.com/forum. This forum includes former crew, former passengers and maritime experts.
I am friends with many people connected with QE2 and Cunard.
