My interests are eclectic and wide.
I am Australian but live in the UK. I have also lived in Argentina and in the US.
I work in the mining sector (on the financial side).
I have worked in the financial markets since the mid-1980s hence I have an abiding interest in long-established/defunct investment banks and merchant banks.
I also have interest in ocean liners from pre-WW2 and particularly in shipwrecks of notable nature and attempt to fill the void of these events in a tribute to the often unremembered events and their victims.
I also have an interest in per-WW2 photographers and have initiated two articles on two widely disparate individuals, famous or infamous for differing reasons.
I also have an interest in the history of department stores.
I have also worked in Turkey, so have a very highly selective interest in some of the history of late Ottoman times.
I also have an interest in Graeco-Roman history, in particular I am known for my work on ancient Antioch-on-the-Orontes outside of wikipedia.
