editMadilyn Bailey Benrud (born September 2, 1992) is an american acoustic singer and songwriter famous as a YouTube Personality.[1] Her YouTube channel, active since May 24, 2008, is subscribed to by nearly 2.5 million You Tubers, with just over 361 million video views.[2] In Europe, Bailey is known for her hit cover single Titanium after having signed with PlayOn - a sub-label of the famous Warner Music Group.[3] Madilyn Bailey is one of 6 siblings. She is currently married to James "Jimmy" Benrud since August 2014.

Early Life and Education
editMadilyn Bailey was born in a small northern town in Wisconsin, United States along with her two sisters and three brothers. As a child, she was a tomboy and home schooled until the age of 10. She started learning how to play the piano at age 9, to later move on to playing the drums and acoustic guitar as well. In highschool, Madilyn Bailey had three best friends - Katelyn, Britney and Chelsea. Her favorite subjects were painting and chemistry. She participated in Science Olympiad, where she won multiple trophies, however, music was always her favorite thing to do.[4] [1] Before becoming a well-known pop singer, Bailey worked as a certified nursing assistant, working with elderly in a retirement home, but soon switched to her passion; music.[5] When asked what career she would've pursued if it wasn't for her breakthrough in the music industry, Bailey responded "Probably I think a forensic scientist for like maybe in a lab or something like that".[6]

editHaving won a cover contest after posting her first music video in the Fall of 2009, Madilyn Bailey was inspired to get more involved within the Youtube community. Her channel now contains 148 uploads.[7] Her most famous cover music video was that of Titanium, originally sung by Sia, she made her breakthrough into the music industry with this song and was able to quit her part-time nursing job, with over 63 million views.

Madilyn Bailey is a former client of Keep Your Soul Records and has recently signed with PlayOn.[9] Madilyn Bailey toured throughout the United States and Canada with the band Boyce Avenue in October 2013.[10] She is also a SoundCloud user(MadilynBaileyOfficial), with 100k followers and 25 tracks.[11]
Personal Life
editMadilyn Bailey has been married to James Benrud since 2014[12] and has a toy poodle named Arya. She names this dog after the hit series Game of Thrones character of Maisie Williams.[13] Bailey has one sister; Haley Wold, along with 4 brothers; Alex Wold, Caden Wold, and Jordan Wold.[14]
