Gerty Dambury

Gerty Dambury, born 27 February 1957 in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, is a playwright, director, novelist and poet. She has received several awards: the French playwriting prize Prix SACD in 2008, a special mention by the Prix Carbet de la Caraïbe et du Tout-Monde for the totality of her works in 2011, the Prix Carbet de la Caraïbe et du Tout-Monde for her work Le rêve de William Alexander Brown (2015) in 2016.
