Lynn Lucas is a writer with 22 years in the composting industry, working as a marketing specialist and project developer for a Southeast compost manufacturer. Prior experience includes that of journalist, editor, and fiber artist. Her expertise encompasses grant and permit writing, technical writing, graphic and web design, and project coordination/administration.

Recent projects included an article on compost use as a replacement for the fumigant methyl bromide in Biocycle magazine. She has organized and/or presented at conferences, workshops and seminars on backyard and large-scale composting, sustainable/organic agriculture and microenterprise/rural development.

Just for fun, she reads/writes genre fiction and allows herself to be blatantly manipulated by stray animals.
