Kyle Dominic Johnson (born December 11, 2001) is an American university student.

Early life edit

Johnson was born in 2001 in San Francisco, California to Nicaraguan-American parents. While both of Johnson's parents were born in the Bay Area, both of his grandmothers hail from Nicaragua, making him over half Mestizo. Johnson grew up in Corte Madera, a town in Marin County 6 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Among his first jobs, starting sometime in 2013, Johnson was an umpire. Johnson attended Redwood High School in Larkspur his freshman year then transferred to Marin Academy in San Rafael, graduating in 2020.

Education and early career edit

In Fall of 2022, Johnson attended Lund University for a semester abroad. In 2024, Johnson will graduate from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in finance. After college, Johnson will hopefully land a job netting approximately $75,000 per year.

In 2020, Johnson became a dasher for DoorDash, delivering food in Marin County. Johnson, dashing as a side hustle, earned about $15,000 in 2021.

Financial Markets edit

Johnson participated in the GameStop short squeeze, buying 5.5 shares at $376.46 and selling at $82.26, losing over $1,600 in the process. This plagued the rest of his performance in 2021 as he finished the year down about 20% while major indexes gained around 20%. As 2022 began, the Nasdaq-100 dropped 15% with his portfolio following suit.

Future career and goals edit

Sometime in 2021, Johnson determined his goal was to have a $100,000 net worth by June 2024. Another goal of Johnson's is to retire by age 50 or earlier. Perhaps his biggest dream is to one day become an MLB umpire.

Johnson is a passionate San Francisco Giants fan and was lucky enough to experience the Giants winning the 2010 World Series, the 2012 World Series, and the 2014 World Series. He is also an avid NFL fan, with his favorite team being the San Francisco 49ers. Johnson is also an avid gamer, primarily competing in Modern Warfare, posting a 2.05 kill/death ratio in multiplayer.
