A ninja was a covert agent or mercenary of feudal Japan specializing in unorthodox arts of war. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, as well as open combat in certain situations.[1] The ninja, with their underhanded tactics, were contrasted with the samurai, who were careful not to tarnish their reputable image.[2]

I decided to do some research on ninjitsu & the ninja , seems as though ninja still exist in this day and age despite the many times samurai tried wiping them out of history, I've found only a small handful of ninjitsu teachers/masters. Most think along the lines that ninja no longer flourish in the states but that isn't as true as most have thought. I've come across a very well put together website that has the basic teachings and very informative with how ninja live and train and how they really do go unseen there are many a way to elude even the best martial artist. though not so much was recorded in history still many of the ninja clans kept their secrets & history and only passed it on to those who could be trusted. With that said I'd like to see if anyone else would like to debate the ninja clans as they are a secret society onto themselves not much has ever been found in historical sites about them only what has been handed down through generations by word of mouth
