The last man to hold the title of proper Roman Emperor (of the Holy Roman Empire)and to be crowned in Rome was Charles V. All his successors bore only a title of "emperor-elect". Charles V was also the last man to celebrate a triumph in Rome. Charles V conquered the Philippines and inherited the defunct title of Byzantine-Roman Emperor making him a "Papel-Byzantine Roman Emperor"
