Iindangungu Village

Iindangungu it a village situated in Oshana Region, in the constituency known as Okaku, found in the northern part of our country (Namibia). This name Iindangungu was named after the man Martine Uushona an his nickname was Iindangungu who is well known in Okaku and he died On August 27, 1966, at Omugulugwombashe when SWAPO guerilla forces launched an attack against the South African Defence Force there.

Iindangungu village consist of a number of kindred ethnic groups which inhabit Ovamboland in northern Namibia as well as the Southernmost Angolan province Cunene, but in Iindangungu village not all the ethic group are available, there is only the some like Ndonga, Kwanyama and the Kwambi. this ethic groups have bring the population of the village to the total population of around 2000 people that cover up the large area of okaku constituency with houses of around 500.

People in this village specialize in agriculture. They cultivate land and get product like mahangu, maize and beans. they also look after animal like goats, sheep and cattles which contribute the large part on Namibia economic. Apart from that the government did not left them behind, it provide them with essential thing that can make the village to go further and we take them as our basic need, where by it provide the village with 5 school [1] and 3 clinic.
