Halldorophone

edit

The halldorophone[1][2] is an experimental musical instrument invented by Halldór Úlfarsson[3], it is a cello-like, electro-acoustic string instrument specifically intended to feedback the strings [4][5][6]. The halldorophone gained some recognition in early 2020[7][8] when composer Hildur Guðnadóttir won the Academy Award for her original soundtrack to the movie Joker, some of which was composed with the instrument[9][10].
