I am 22 years old and am currently studying computer science (minor medicine) at RWTH Aachen University. My roots are in Essen-Borbeck. In my spare time, I like cooking and playing poker and one of my goals is to finally spend more time on sports and reading. Nothing too exotic, that's for sure, but I still like not being booked up.

There are two fields of topics I want you to to be aware of, the first one because it's on my heart and saves lives, and the second one because this is where I typically edit articles in the English Wikipedia:
The Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation edit
During my compulsory civilian service, I worked at one of the donors centers of the university hospitals. Since stem cell (or bone marrow) donations often raise questions as to their safety, my goal is to provide thorough and understandable information on this subject. Maybe this can help a few critically ill people.

The Ruhr Area, especially Essen edit
I consider myself a sort of local patriot. And since I don't want to lose practice, a while ago I started translating sections or whole articles every now and then. Articles to which I have made major contributions can be found in the next section. Searching for good articles on the region to present to you, I realized that there is not much there yet. Seems as if I still have a lot of work to do ^v^

Translations German ↔ English edit
As I said before, I translate articles from German to English every now and then, especially those dealing with Essen or the Ruhr Area in General.
