Reuben Langdon is a Los Angeles based Stunt Actor, Producer, Director and Co-ordinator who contributes his talents to several major motion pictures, video games, anime and television series.

Career

He began his career in Japanese Tokusatsu on action series, B-Fighter Kabuto as, Mac Windy/ B-Fighter Yanma, a Dragonfly themed warrior that arrived from America to assist the main heroes. His character appeared in 2 episodes in the series, and was portrayed as a master of Aikido and Boxing.[1]

Reuben Langdon went on to train with Sonny Chiba’s Japan Action Club, Grand master Byong Yu’s Yong Do Martial Arts Style.[2]

Power Rangers

Reuben Langdon’s stunt work allowed him to appear in various television shows, most notably he has featured in multiple seasons of power rangers. Although uncredited or under the use of various pseudonyms, he has appeared as a suit actor for either the Power Rangers themselves, the henchmen that they face, or the monster of the day[3]. His main on screen appearances occurred in Power Rangers Time Force when he appeared as a tour guide in “Photo Finish”[4]

Film and Television Work

His other main live action appearances also include appearing as “Number 3’s Guardian” in the film I am Number Four, the assassin Edward Kenway, in a digital short promoting the release of Ubisoft’s, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, and Ken Masters in any Street Fighter promotional video, including the short film entitled, Street Fighter X Tekken: The Devil Within.[5]

Video Games

Reuben Langdon is most famous for his portrayal of the demon hunter Dante in the Capcom video game series: Devil May Cry. Reuben voiced and provided the motion capture for the main character in 4 games in the main series, appearing as the character in a commercial aired in japan[6]. His portrayal of the character and subsequent partnership with Capcom allowed him to form his own Motion Capture Technology and Production Studio Just Cause Productions.[7][8]

Just Cause Productions

Just Cause Studios was established in Burbank California in December of 2001 and established another location in Setagaya Tokyo. In the beginning, the company began as a localization provider for importing games but with Reuben Langdon’s experience in stunt coordinating, acting and general movie industry experience allowed the company to expand in the entertainment industry. Their clients include: Microsoft Capcom, Electronic Arts, Sony, Disney and Bandai Namco Games. Reuben Langdon is the Cofounder and Copresident of the company and also participates in much of the motion capture work. Just Cause Productions operates it’s own Motion Capture Studio offering services such as traditional motion capture, real time projection and full performance with simultaneous sound capture for a full digital acting experience. Just Cause Productions is also well known for it’s VFX work as it has contributed to the production process of a variety of major works. It has visualized characters and objects in Resident Evil , Jame’s Cameron’s Avatar, and David Guetta and Nicki Minaj’s "Turn Me On” music video.[9][10][11][12]
