Robert Maxwell Keiser (born December 24, 1989) is an American higher education administrator, and philanthropist. He is the executive director, and a minority owner, of Southeastern College. Keiser serves as the President-Elect for Florida’s Association of Post-Secondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC), and a member of the Florida Commission for Independent Education (CIE) Rules Committee and Accreditation Committee.[1] [2]
Early Life edit
Keiser was born on December 24, 1989, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His mother is Belinda Keiser, a higher education administrator and workforce development professional. His father is Arthur Keiser, Ph.D., co-founder and Chancellor of Keiser University.[3]
As a child, Keiser struggled with his weight. At the age of 16, Keiser recognized a need for greater physical activity and health consciousness in schools and began lobbying the Florida Legislature for reform. He was recognized by then-Governor Charlie Crist for his efforts and was the youngest member ever appointed to the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness to help create a state action plan to combat childhood obesity. He was recognized by the American Heart Association and testified before the U.S. House Committee on Education and Labor on behalf of the Fitness Integrated in Teaching (FIT) Kids Act which mandated one hour of physical education in American public schools.[4] [5]

Keiser completed both his bachelor’s and Master of Science in Business Administration (MBA) at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.[6] Keiser is in the process of completing his Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Capella University.
Career edit
Keiser has served in multiple roles in post-secondary education. He currently serves as the executive director of Southeastern College, a nationally accredited, five-campus, college system. He is an active member of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU) and has spoken at the organization’s national conference as a keynote speaker.[7] He is a frequent contributor to Career Education Review.[8] He has also been a guest on education-based podcasts such as the EdUp Experience and Higher Ed, the podcast.[9]
