Juan Víctor Ariel Franco is a physician graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), a specialist in family medicine (UBA) and Master in Clinical Effectiveness (UBA) specialized in Health Technology Assessment and Economic Evaluations.
He is a Professor in the Research Department of the Instituto Universitario Hospital Italiano (IUHI). He performs his healthcare activities as a family doctor at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires. He is the current Director of the Cochrane Associate Center IUHI and Vice-Chair of the Research Department. He is a member of Cochrane and has joined their Governing Board in 2019.
He holds the position of Editor-in-Chief at BMJ Evidence-Based Medicine, as Associate Editor for Evidencia (Fundación MF) and as contact editor of the Cochrane Urology Review Group.
He works as an instructor of the chairs of Family Medicine at UBA and the Universidad Nacional de la Matanza (UNLAM).
