I want wikipedia to actually reflect what is happening and to allow for the truth of associations, affiliations, creations and connections beyond what is always publicized at first glance. Often times what is noteworthy is simply a matter of insider knowledge and often there are interests behind contributions to the public good not being made as public as they should because of the interest of individuals or corporations involved. Other times because of legal issues important connections and events may be lost to history. In my opinion wikipedia should be the solution to those types of problems by allowing for publicly verifiable and independently published reference to people, organizations and events.
I am happy to be a part of that solution. I admit that so far I have personal interests in the articles i contribute to, the pages I create and edit. They reflect either organizations which I have been exposed to that have impact yet are under exposed or organizations with important achievements or accomplishments to highly publicized events which have been overlooked or are absent from relevant existing wikipedia pages.
