I like to be called John. My areas of expertise are English literature, English history, brand strategy and graphic design. I also know a fair bit about baroque music and medieval monarchy.
My first articles were given speedy deletion and then my IP blocked, partly because my previous user name was confused with that of a social media company (with which I have absolutely no connection) and partly because I had not observed Wikipedia's rules. I stand corrected and will use my best endeavours going forward.
In observing the Wikipedia:Ten Simple Rules for Editing Wikipedia I aim to be objective and impartial as well as thorough. In particular my aim is to observe Wikipedia:Civility. Civility is part of Wikipedia's code of conduct and one of Wikipedia's five pillars. Every decent community is founded on people behaving civilly to each other.
