Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology This is a subpage of User:jtknowles and is being used as a working page to develop a page for the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. A previous version of this page was created, but deleted because it was a blatant advertisement from the parent company of the school. I will attempt to make a page that will not be removed, and provide some valuable information to the wikipedia community. --Jtknowles (talk) 20:15, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

History edit

The Ohio Institute of Photography was founded in 1971. In 1977, construction began on the current main building. Classes began in the new building, designed specifically for photographic education, the following September. The building was expanded again in 1984. The school was renamed Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology in 1991 with the addition of an allied health program. Several other medical, criminal justice, and graphic design related programs were added to the curriculum over the next several years. With the addition of these program, the school added classroom space in the nearby Point West Business Park. A branch campus called Florida Education Center-Lauderhill was opened in January 2005.
