DRAFT - material removed from Views on Ramakrishna

Somnath Bhattacharyya is a psychoterapist and emeritus professor of psychology at University of Calcutta, where he has been head of the Psychology Department.[1]: p.152  He has been widely quoted by Ramakrishna's followers for his critical review of Kripal's Kali's Child.

Bhattacharyya is claimed to be fluent in Bengali and familiar with the primary source material used by Kripal.[1]: p.152  In addition to pointing out that Kripal is not qualified in psychoanalysis, he says the textual errors in Kali's Child are "particularly grave", and "large scale distortions of source material in an ill attempted effort at establishing a thesis, is certainly not academically acceptable."[1]: p.162.
