Hello fellow Wikipedia users,
My name is Johnny Russell and I have joined Wikipedia so that I can help to translate English articles that are relevant to me into Spanish. This is both to help improve my Spanish skills and to help make Wikipedia a more thorough resource for all. Even though no members of my family know Spanish and I am not of Spanish heritage, I am learning Spanish with the goal of fluency. I want my future career to be technical translation between English, Spanish, and possibly French or Portugese. To translate, I don't use Google Translate; I use a good old-fashioned English-Spanish dictionary. In addition, my best friend was born in Chile to a Spanish speaking family and my cousin has lived in Latin America for two years and studied Spanish at the college level for five quarters. Me llamo Johnny Russell y he obtenido un account de Wikipedia para que yo pueda ayudar a traducir artículos en inglés al español. Me gustaría mejorar mis abilidades de escribir en español y también, me gustaría mejorar Wikipedia para que pueda ser un mejor recurso para todos. Estoy aprendando como se habla español con la meta de poder hablar con fluidez. En el futuro, me gustaría trabajar traduciendo entre los dos idiomas. Para traducir, uso el diccionario inglés-español, no Google Translate. También, mi primo y mi mejor amiga hablan español con fluidez y ellos pueden ayudarme traducir si no sé que a escribir.
