After attending Grambling State University and Delaware State University, John, a Union NJ native, took the helm of the family trucking business, with the hopes of expanding it, which he did. He expanded the business from 5 trucks to over 60 pieces of machinery and expanding service throughout the entire East Coast. . John and his partner established First Homeland Mortgage Group.
