Early Life

Joe Badger is British Session Guitarist based in Surrey England. Joe was born in Leicester in 1989 and didn't pick up his first guitar until he was 13 years old. At 14 he started his guitar playing journey in original bands and spent his teens writing and recording songs as well as gigging locally in the midlands alongside drummer friend Josh Devine.

Study

At 16 Joe left school to pursue a career in Music and enrolled on a Music Tech BTEC program at Leicester college for 1 year. At 17 years old Joe decided to go down the performing route and changed courses where he met guitar tutor and mentor Brian Thompson. After studying with Brian for a couple of years, Joe moved to Guildford, Surrey where studied at ACM for 3 years. During this time he met many musicians and songwriters including sitting next to Ed Sheeran during his brief stint at the college. Joe graduated ACM in 2012 with a Degree in Music Performance specialising in being a session guitarist

Career

At 22 years old Joe performed with unsigned artist Matt Lonsdale as part of his session band supporting boy band One Direction on their debut Up All Night Tour arena tour. Since 2012 he has been working as a session guitarist, recording and performing for 100's of unsigned artists in and around London. Joe also performs and manages professional covers band "Xcaliber" which is made up of elite musicians who perform at corporate events all over the world. Joe is also an experienced guitar tutor teaching students from intermediate to advanced level.

Alongside performing regularly, Joe records high quality session guitar tracks from his home studio as well as recording for producers, artists and sound designers all over the world.
